As a Manager, Assurance Services - Gaming, you'll lead assurance engagements for commercial and tribal casinos, state lotteries, and online gaming clients while serving as a trusted advisor to your clients. This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical accounting expertise, deepen your gaming industry knowledge, and make a meaningful impact through strong client relationships, team mentorship, and insights that strengthen financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational performance.
Major Responsibilities
- Lead assurance and agreed-upon procedures engagements for gaming clients, ensuring timely, compliant, and high-quality delivery.
- Advise clients on complex accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory matters affecting the gaming industry.
- Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements that strengthen compliance, reduce risk, and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Review workpapers, financial statements, and disclosures for accuracy and compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Manage engagement budgets, staffing, and project timelines to meet quality and profitability goals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, building strong client relationships and delivering insights that support business objectives.
- Mentor and develop team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and support the continued growth of the Gaming Industry Group.
Preferred Experience/Background/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Active CPA required.
- Progressive public accounting experience serving gaming clients or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, AICPA auditing standards, and gaming industry accounting and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of gaming operations, internal controls, and applicable state and tribal gaming regulations.
- Proven ability to lead engagements, mentor staff, and manage multiple client projects.
- Strong client relationship, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to identify process improvements and deliver practical, compliance-focused solutions.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to support business development and firm growth initiative
Working Conditions
- Typical office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Hybrid work model with 2-3 days per week in-office.
- Ability to work extra hours as determined by workload and client expectations.
- Travel is dependent upon office location, business need, and client expectations.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to move throughout office.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 30-50 pounds.
