Our Loss Control department is seeking a regional director to lead and support field teams across the Western region.

Starting salary: The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $135,000.00 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance. 

Be ready to:

  • guide new associates through completion of self-paced learning during orientation
  • assist territory manager with LDP creation and completion for foundational/new associates
  • conduct co-travel visits with foundational/new associates to build competency with newly learned technical and soft skills such as consulting/selling skills
  • arrange joint visits for foundational associates with advanced associates or TSU as part of their growth and development   
  • monitor and evaluate report quality of foundational/new associates   
  • manage ad hoc workflow/ distribute to the team to fulfill team goals
  • assist with vetting matrix assignments
  • manage prospect workflow to ensure alignment, capability, and availability
  • assist delegating and redistributing work equitably to team members with differing levels of expertise
  • pick up additional work as needed by the team’s own capacity, capability, and availability
  • position may require up to 50% travel across team region
  • help lead the team through change to meet its performance goals
  • support the Loss Control Manager and act as a resource in their absence
  • facilitate meetings with team members to promote collaboration, open communication, feedback and promotion of new procedures processes, and ideas
  • maintain communication with the Loss Control Manager about pertinent team and territory issues
  • complete a set amount of risk evaluations and risk improvement services
  • support region to meet timeliness team goal
  • Be equipped with:
  • Skills, traits and behaviors
  • strong interpersonal, coaching, mentoring, consultative and organizational skills
  • proficiency in all applicable loss control information systems and procedures 
  • positive and optimistic leadership characteristics supporting the team, department, and corporate goals
  • 3the ability to work independently using time management skills
  • effective communication skills to work effectively and develop good working relationships with team members
  • an ability to collaborate with the team and department members to identify challenges 
  • solution oriented, seeking to improve and adopt new processes and procedures 
  • extensive knowledge of commercial line insurance products and hazard recognition for all lines of coverage
  • ongoing pursuit of continuing education

Bring education or experience from:

  • accredited institute classes/exams
  • ARM designation at a minimum and earning other designations such as CRM, CSP, CFPS, CIH, or CPCU
  • classroom and/or on-line learning
  • leadership development- management skills
  • change management skills and awareness
  • driving effective teams
  • self-development activities to stay current
