About the Role

Title: Legal Operations Administrator

Location: San Francisco United States

Job Description:

Earthjustice is the premier nonprofit environmental law organization. We take on the biggest, most precedent-setting cases across the country. We wield the power of law and the strength of partnership to protect people's health; to preserve magnificent places and wildlife; to advance clean energy; and to combat climate change. We partner with thousands of groups, supporters and citizens to engage the critical environmental issues of our time and bring about positive change. We are here because the earth needs a good lawyer.

Founded in 1971, Earthjustice has a distinguished track record of achieving significant, lasting environmental protections. We achieve this by hiring the best and brightest who share a passion for justice and a healthy environment. Our headquarters are in San Francisco with ten offices across the U.S.

The Legal Operations Administrator ("LOA") serves an important and varied role in administering and optimizing use of technology tools in Litigation. The LOA assures that the organization meets best practices standards in litigation practice management.

This is a non-supervisory position. The LOA is expected to work a full-time (37.5 hours/week) schedule, and may work hybrid from an Earthjustice office or remote in the contiguous U.S.

  • Design and maintain dashboards and reports tracking defined metrics and points of interest for stakeholders.
  • Analyze usage trends and prepare periodic reports for legal leadership and program.
  • Develop and refine KPIs that measure operational performance, partner satisfaction, and internal service delivery.

Budgeting and Invoice Management (15%)

  • Support the annual legal department budgeting process by compiling historical data, modeling projections, and tracking actuals against plans.
  • Submit and allocate Legal Operations invoices.

Ongoing Learning

  • Actively pursue professional development and contribute to a culture of learning by building skills and sharing knowledge.

What You'll Bring
