About the Role
Title: Integration Specialist / Spécialiste, intégration
Location: Montreal, Detroit
Hybrid
Job Description:
-
Headquartered in Montreal, Detroit and Munich, Vention helps manufacturers automate their operations in record time with the only hardware and software AI-powered platform built for the factory floor. Our technology powers over 25,000 machines across 4,000 factories across 5 continents and we have the privilege to work with a significant proportion of Fortune 500 manufacturers, from space rockets, to electrical cars, to robotics.
At Vention, you’ll work alongside driven and talented people who care deeply about their craft and the impact they create. We’re a team of high achievers who grow through meaningful work, solving complex challenges, learning fast, and seeing the results of our efforts every day.
We move quickly and aim high, but we do it together with care, collaboration, and respect. Our culture celebrates diverse perspectives and supports your growth through intentional development, strong leadership, and opportunities to make a real difference.
What You’ll Do
-
Own a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts. You'll be the named technical owner on Vention's largest accounts, running Executive Business Reviews alongside the Account Executive and being the person leadership calls when an account is at risk or ready to expand.
-
Drive L3/L4 escalations from first response to root cause. When the integration team can't resolve an issue, you step in, orchestrating Engineering and Product where needed, and own the outcome end-to-end.
-
Project-manage high-stakes deployments. When flagship automation lines go live, remotely or on-site, you lead from start to finish and are in the room when it counts.
-
Mentor Integration Specialists. You won't carry direct reports, but you'll set the technical standard on the team and actively develop the people around you.
-
Close the loop between the field and the product. You'll bring recurring customer pain to Product, Engineering, and QA, lead UAT on major releases, and make sure what you're hearing from customers actually shapes the roadmap.
We are committed to making every step of the process inclusive and accessible. If you require any accommodations, please let us know — we will ensure you have everything you need to succeed.

Availability
A curiosity to learn, a collaborative spirit, and a desire to contribute to a meaningful project
Be available, as needed, to take remote support calls during the evening shift and, occasionally, on weekends, as a relief when the assigned team member is unavailable.
From 5 p.m. to midnight on weekdays, if needed
From Friday 5 p.m. to Sunday 5 p.m., if needed
Willingness to travel: 1 to 2 trips per month to provide support at client sites
What you bring to the team
3-5 years of experience in industrial automation
Proficiency in robotics programming on at least two of the following platforms: Fanuc, Universal Robots, or ABB — this is a firm requirement, not a mere asset
The ability to learn and work with Vention's automation stack (MachineMotion, MachineLogic, custom Python logic), or a demonstrated ability to adapt to it quickly
Exceptional communication skills: you can go from debugging a control system at the workbench to presenting a recovery plan to a vice president of operations, all in the same day, and you write clear post-mortems.
A history of commissioning industrial automation systems and end-to-end resolution of complex failures affecting multiple systems
Fluency in English and French (English required to communicate with our English-speaking clientele) and/or Spanish is a significant asset given our clientele in Quebec and Latin America (LATAM).
A curiosity to learn, a collaborative spirit, and a motivation to contribute to something meaningful
We’re committed to making every step of the process inclusive and accessible. If you require accommodations at any stage, please let us know, we’ll ensure you have what you need to succeed.

What you will do:
Take charge of a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts. You will be the designated technical owner on Vention's largest accounts, leading executive business reviews (EBRs) alongside the account manager, and being the person management calls when an account is at risk or ready to expand.
Manage L3/L4 escalations, from the initial response to the root cause. When the integration team cannot resolve an issue, you step in, orchestrating engineering and product development as needed, and you take ownership of the end-to-end outcome.

Mentor the integration specialists. You will not have employees under your direct supervision, but you will establish the team's technical standard and actively develop the people around you.
Bridging the gap between the field and the product. You will communicate recurring customer issues to the Product, Engineering and Quality Assurance teams, lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) during major production releases, and ensure that customer feedback truly shapes the roadmap.
