The Intake & Portfolio Health Solution Architect / Technical Lead is responsible for leading the overall vision, architecture, technical discovery, and design of a scalable SharePoint-based solution. This solution supports demand intake, portfolio governance, program health, and leadership reporting. This position will evaluate and extend an existing intake management solution, establish the future-state architecture, and guide the technical team through design, build, pilot, and deployment. This is the lead consulting role for the engagement, requiring independent work, clear technical direction, and ownership of architecture decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and define the overall solution vision, architecture, and implementation approach.
• Translate business requirements into logical and physical architecture, data models, and integration patterns.
• Define a web-part-first user experience using modern SharePoint pages, standard web parts, and custom components.
• Define Azure DevOps integration specifications for the SharePoint solution, including project structures, data ownership, and monitoring.
• Design configurable models for initiatives, value streams, teams, milestones, dependencies, risks, and health metrics.
• Provide day-to-day technical direction to SharePoint development resources.
• Establish standards for development, testing, source control, deployment, and support.
• Lead the resolution of technical, platform, integration, security, and licensing challenges.
• Oversee pilot execution, validation activities, user acceptance testing, and deployment readiness.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, data dictionaries, integration specifications, and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience architecting SharePoint Online solutions with standard and custom web-part interfaces in an enterprise environment.
• Experience leading technical discovery and translating complex requirements into scalable architecture.
• Experience designing Azure DevOps integrations for SharePoint-based solutions.
• Knowledge of SharePoint lists, pages, modern web parts, permissions, information architecture, and SPFx or comparable web-part development.
• Experience with data models, configurable rules, historical snapshots, audit trails, security, and support standards.
• Ability to lead technical resources, review solution quality, and document architecture decisions.
• Demonstrated independence, ownership, sound judgment, and clear communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SPFx, custom SharePoint web parts, TypeScript or JavaScript, and Microsoft Graph or REST APIs.
• Experience with portfolio management, demand intake, governance, Agile delivery, or program-health reporting.
• Experience designing Power BI, structured export, or automated reporting from SharePoint and Azure DevOps data.
• Experience implementing configurable calculations for health, trend, data-quality, and readiness.
• Experience delivering reusable solutions across multiple business units in a regulated environment.

Pay Range:

$80 - $96 per hour
