Job Description:

Injection Authorization Coordinator Full-Time Position Raleigh Location-Hybrid Schedule

Were seeking a detail-oriented and organized Injection Authorization Coordinator to join our fast-paced medical practice. This role is essential in ensuring timely insurance pre-certifications, accurate documentation, and a smooth coordination process for patient injection services.

This is a hybrid position, requiring three (3) days per week in our Raleigh office and two (2) remote workdays. In-office days follow a rotating schedule model determined by management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and complete insurance pre-certifications for injections within 48 hours of order receipt
  • Accurately document authorization details in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Communicate with patients and providers regarding authorization status and next steps
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage requirements
  • Verify benefits to determine patient financial responsibility
  • Coordinate and schedule injection appointments in accordance with department standards
  • Arrange pharmacy delivery for medications as needed

What You Bring:

  • At least 2 years of experience in medical insurance, billing, or prior authorizations preferred
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding preferred
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, and team members
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
