THE POSITION
Join the Human Resource (HR) Office for Labor & Industry and Banking & Securities as a Human Resource Assistant 1 and contribute to a mission that supports employees across multiple agencies. This role allows you to strengthen your organizational skills while working in a supportive environment. You will help keep key HR processes moving and ensure employees receive timely assistance. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides administrative and technical support for human resource programs within the Employee Relations & Workforce Support Division. Your work helps ensure HR processes are accurate, timely, and aligned with agency policies. As a Human Resource Assistant 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Performance Review Support: Review Employee Performance Reviews, monitor timelines, and provide feedback to ensure compliance with requirements
- Timekeeping Duties: Code overtime, enter leave requests, run error reports, and correct discrepancies for HR team members
- Document Management: Scan, upload, certify, and purge documents in electronic personnel files while ensuring quality control
- Claims and Forms Handling: Assist with unemployment claim responses and review Financial Disclosure forms for accuracy and completion
- Information Monitoring: Manage email resource accounts, research policy information, and respond to routine inquiries
- Separation Processing: Prepare separation notices, submit ePARs, and track processing to ensure timely completion
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of clerical or other comparable experience which involved obtaining, providing, and evaluating information in accordance with established standards; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS):
- 711 (hearing and speech disabilities or other individuals).
