Job Summary
Summary: The Human Resources Assistant provides organized, detail-oriented support to the Paycom Arena Human Resources team and helps ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role maintains accurate HR records, supports onboarding and employee programs, assists with reporting and compliance documentation, and serves as a professional resource for team members while maintaining a positive work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, attendance records, and required compliance documentation.
• Prepare HR reports and documents as needed, including payroll-related information and union dues documentation.
• Support onboarding processes, including I-9 completion and Creating Legends activities, to provide a seamless experience for new hires.
• Support and help coordinate Creating Legends and other employee programs and initiatives.
• Respond to team member inquiries regarding HR policies, programs, procedures, and general HR resources; escalate matters to HR leadership when appropriate.
• Coordinate and assist with employee training, orientation, and required certifications.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and required HR practices.
• Support the development, communication, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR team and perform other duties as assigned by HR leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience in an administrative or Human Resources role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfort working with HR systems/software.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills with close attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of confidentiality, discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
• Familiarity with employment/labor laws and HR best practices is an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively, provide responsive support, and contribute to a positive, team-focused environment.
