  • Partner with Medical to integrate publication plans into the medical strategic framework.

  • Ensure global, regional, and country alignment and input in collaboration with the Regional Publications team.

  • Maintain strong scientific knowledge of assigned assets, publication content, and the rationale for each planned publication.

  • Align above-asset publication strategy with individual asset publication plans.

  • Communicate publication plans clearly to varied audiences, including senior management.

  • Oversee publication plan execution within established best-practice and governance frameworks.

  • Manage external agencies supporting publication deliverables, as needed.

  • Maintain scientific integrity and ethics, and help ensure adherence to company policy or values.

  • Manage financial, contractual, and vendor-related aspects of assigned projects.

  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including product teams and LOCs, and with external partners.

  • Serve as the publications expert and point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, advisors, external experts, journals, and professional societies.

  • Act as spokesperson for publications within assigned disease areas or asset groups.

  • Manage complex stakeholder networks and tailor communication to functional and seniority-level needs.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that support overall team objectives.

  • Drive adoption of AI, GenAI, automation, and digital solutions to improve the efficiency, quality, and impact of publication planning, development, execution, and reporting. Partner across functions to evaluate, implement, and scale technologies that advance content development, knowledge management, operational excellence, and data-driven decisions.

  • Champion digital transformation within Publications by promoting AI-enabled ways of working, appropriate governance and compliance, and future-ready capabilities.

  • Recognize emerging compliance risks, contribute to mitigation plans, and help establish enterprise best practices.
