Job Description:Role Overview

The mission is to carry a verified loyalty identity through an agent handshake on a universal checkout platform and on a protocol-agnostic rail. This role will also build the wallet-held Verifiable Credential proof of concept. The position involves implementing platform components, building protocol-agnostic rails, developing a Verifiable Credential proof of concept, and running a loyalty-fraud test suite.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the universal checkout platform side, including a namespaced signal with a loyalty block on a platform agent, and a mock merchant for verification.
• Build the protocol-agnostic rail, including a header contract, an edge verifier with caching and spoof-header stripping, and merchant middleware.
• Develop the Verifiable Credential proof of concept, including issuing a credential, presenting it via specified protocols, and verifying it at the merchant.
• Implement and run a loyalty-fraud test suite on both rails.
• Write the merchant integration guide for the rail and the universal checkout platform path, and build the demo storefront beats.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with TypeScript/Node (Node 22, Next.js or similar), with strong HTTP fundamentals.
• Experience in identity engineering, including OAuth 2.0 Authorization Code + PKCE, OIDC, JWT/JWS (ES256, EdDSA), and JWKS rotation.
• Hands-on experience with Verifiable Credentials, including W3C VC 2.0 data model, OID4VCI/OID4VP, and SD-JWT VC.
• Familiarity with DID methods (did:web, did:key) and at least one wallet SDK.
• Experience with edge development, such as Cloudflare Workers (or equivalent) with KV/Durable Objects, header verification, and rate limiting.
• Ability to read protocol specifications precisely and deliver from acceptance criteria without supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BBS+ / zero-knowledge predicate tooling.
• Knowledge of Google Universal Checkout Platform or Merchant Center integrations.
• Background in loyalty-programme or promotions systems.
• Sufficient Python knowledge to pair on blueprint binding.
• Experience in e-commerce fraud or bot-management.
