Forward Deployed Engineer, Agent Runtimes & MCP (Python)

Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Stand up the blueprint's verticals on all three runtimes, run test and verification suites, and maintain fork compatibility.
• Implement the AgentTrustMixin for the blueprint's backend, including identity binding, trust checks, decision mapping, fail policy, and PII-free logging.
• Build and test the storefront server path for Managed Agents behind an authenticating gateway.
• Write an MCP server and a companion skill for the blueprint's code plugin.
• Author the merchant integration guide and measure merchant effort as an acceptance metric.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python experience, with proficiency in asyncio, typed code, pytest, and ruff.
• Experience shipping tool-using LLM agents on the Claude Messages API or Agent SDK.
• Experience building or integrating MCP servers (streamable HTTP) with authentication.
• Knowledge of JWT/JWKS verification, OAuth client credentials, and secrets handling.
• Ability to read and understand unfamiliar, unmaintained open-source codebases quickly and work from written acceptance criteria without supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Claude Managed Agents beta, Claude Code plugins/skills authoring, and Bedrock/Vertex/Foundry routing.
• Experience in the e-commerce domain (cart, variants, checkout hand-off).
• Knowledge of Node 22 for example storefronts.
