EOI - Subcontracts Program Manager

We are seeking expressions of interest for an experienced Subcontracts Program Manager to join our Supply Chain team and play a pivotal role shaping subcontract design through execution, leading supplier development, the performance of critical suppliers delivering complex defence programs.

Programs, platforms and work the Supply Chain team support spans across Air Battle Management Systems, Blackhawk Helicopters, C-130 Hercules Aircraft, F-35 Aircraft, Pilot Training Systems, Combat Systems, Missiles and Fire Control and Space.

Expressions of interest are open to candidates whom can work from offices in the following locations: Newcastle NSW, Richmond NSW, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane.

About you:

  • Significant experience in subcontract, supply chain management, strategic procurement, commercial or program management within Defence or complex project environments
  • Proven ability to independently manage complex subcontracts and resolve high-risk commercial and performance issues
  • Strong knowledge of Defence acquisition and Sustainment programs
  • Demonstrated leadership experience guiding multi-disciplinary stakeholder teams
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in relation to complex contracting solutions and partnering for success
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience

Your responsibilities will include:

Subcontract Program Management, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the end-to-end subcontract strategy, design, execution and management
  • Collaborate with integrated project teams to solve complex supply chain and or subcontract performance issues, ensuring optimal cost, quality, supply resilience and platform availability outcomes
  • Support critical Subcontractors to develop the maturity of management systems and processes, provide innovative ideas and optimise their operational delivery
  • Serve as the primary interface between suppliers, Program Management and senior internal stakeholders
  • Lead integrated cross-functional teams across engineering, quality, procurement and finance
  • Establish milestones, manage risk and resolve issues to maintain contractual and program commitments
  • Strengthen strategic supplier partnerships and contribute to proposals, new business and capability growth
