AECOM''s environmental practice is dedicated to helping industries, clients and governments meet their environmental responsibilities while protecting the natural environment. We provide advisory and technical services to ensure compliance, manage impacts, and reduce risks, including obtaining permits and approvals, post approvals and environmental management advice, decommissioning and restoring contaminated sites, and tackling climate change challenges and resilience.

We are a passionate team of environmental impact assessors working within an organisation creating meaningful change both in Australia and around the globe.  Our team is made up of twenty-two environmental impact assessors across Sydney and Newcastle and due to recent project wins we are growing. We are looking for professionals who will lead environmental impact assessments for projects across transport, renewable energy, transmission, water, and industrial sectors. Our enviable EIS portfolio includes Sydney Metro EISs, Great Western Highway Blackheath to Little Hartley EIS, the first offshore wind farm EIS in Australia; longest road tunnel EIS in Australia and the first place-based EIS for an infrastructure project in NSW.

AECOM's Environment team in Perth is entering an exciting period of growth, supported by new leadership and a strong pipeline of projects across the mining, energy, water and Defence sectors.

We are looking for experienced environmental professionals across a range of levels and technical disciplines, including:

• Impact assessment and environmental approvals
• Contaminated land and remediation
• Hydrogeology
• Ecology

How you'll make a difference

• Deliver high-quality environmental services and practical solutions across projects in the mining, energy, water, Defence and infrastructure sectors.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams, while contributing to the continued growth and capability of our Perth Environment practice.
• Depending on your level, support project leadership, client relationships, business development and the mentoring of junior team members.

The qualities that help you thrive

• Experience in environmental consulting or a related industry role within impact assessment and approvals, contaminated land, hydrogeology, ecology or a related discipline.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications and strong communication, collaboration and technical skills.
• For more senior opportunities, experience in project delivery, client engagement, business development or team leadership will be highly regarded.
