Job Description:

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Plano, TX(Hybrid). Candidates must have strong expertise in SQL Server administration to manage performance, availability, and security across critical production systems.

Rate Range: $54/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Oversees SQL Server database administration including configuration, maintenance, and optimization across production environments.

• Manages system health monitoring, performance tuning, and real‑time issue resolution to ensure high availability and reliability.

• Implements backup strategies, restore procedures, and DR/HA configurations to maintain data integrity and business continuity.

• Supports developers with query tuning, schema refinement, and performance troubleshooting.

• Refines automated processes, tracks recurring issues, and maintains detailed documentation of system changes.

• Performs scheduled maintenance, releases deployments, and provides 24×7 support for mission‑critical systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• 10+ years of experience in SQL Server database administration and performance optimization.

• Strong proficiency in SQL Server performance tuning, high availability/disaster recovery, and real‑time issue resolution.

• Demonstrated expertise in backups, restores, automation, and supporting critical 24×7 production database environments.

Pay Details: $54.00 to $56.00 per hour
