What your day could look like

As an Endocrinologist, you'll help improve health outcomes across the Darling Downs by delivering specialist care that's responsive, coordinated and community focused. Your work will support patients at every stage of their journey while strengthening capability across the service.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

  • Providing specialist diabetes and endocrine care across inpatient, outpatient and outreach settings
  • Collaborating with general medicine, obstetrics and multidisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, patient‑centred care
  • Teaching and mentoring junior doctors and students to build confident, capable future clinicians
  • Contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement and research that supports safer, smarter care

Let's talk about you!

You're a clinician who pairs technical expertise with genuine care for people. You value teamwork, communicate clearly and approach challenges with curiosity and courage. Making a meaningful difference for patients, supporting colleagues to grow, and serving a regional community is what motivates you.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

  • Specialist registration with AHPRA and Fellowship (or equivalent) in Endocrinology
  • Experience managing diabetes and endocrine conditions across diverse clinical settings
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence working within multidisciplinary teams

You'll stand out if you bring regional experience and/or additional training in obstetric medicine or research. Most importantly, you'll live the Darling Downs Health values—compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage—creating positive impact every day.
