Job Description:
Mid-level DevSecOps Engineer supports the design, implementation, and operation of secure, reliable CI/CD pipelines and cloud native applications. This role partners closely with development, security, and platform teams to improve software delivery efficiency, security, and developer experience across ITGPST.
ITGPST leverages Horizon, Bank of Americas enterprise CI/CD platform, which integrates tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Ansible, and XL Release. Horizon is developed by the Employee Experience Technology (EET) division, which also leads the Developer Experience (DevEx) program focused on improving developer productivity, efficiency, and satisfaction.

Responsibilities
CI/CD & DevSecOps Enablement
- Contributes to the implementation, support, and continuous improvement of ITGPSTs CI/CD pipelines using GTs standard toolset (Horizon).
- Assist development teams with onboarding, configuration, and day to day use of CI/CD and DevSecOps tools.
- Support automation of build, test, security scanning, and deployment processes.
Security & SDLC Integration
- Help implement shift left security practices by integrating security tools and scans early in the SDLC.
- Assist development teams in identifying and remediating security vulnerabilities and outdated dependencies.
- Follow and support GT security, compliance, and change management standards.
Cloud & Modern Engineering Practices
- Support application teams with containerization, deployment, and cloud native patterns.
- Assist with cloud readiness assessments and migration activities under guidance from senior engineers.
- Troubleshoot pipelines, infrastructure, and environment issues as they arise.
Developer Experience & Collaboration
- Collaborate with central Horizon and DevEx teams to adopt enhancements and resolve tooling issues.
- Participate in DevEx working groups or initiatives as a contributor.
- Help collect and analyze delivery metrics to understand pipeline health and software delivery effectiveness.
Primary Skill: Agile tools (Jenkins)
Secondary Skill: Agile tools (Bitbucket)
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or DevSecOps roles.
- Hands on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation concepts.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages used in automation and pipeline development.
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and basic networking concepts.
- Experience with Git based source control (e.g., Bitbucket or GitHub).
- Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins (scripted or declarative pipelines) or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with common build tools such as Maven, npm, MS Build, or pip.
- Experience with containers and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
- Experience with CD and release orchestration tools (Ansible, XL Release, Harness or similar).
- Working knowledge of database automation and SQL for reporting and analysis.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to learn, accept feedback, and grow technical depth in DevSecOps practices.
