Job Overview:

The Development Manager, Institutional Giving, is a key revenue-generating member of the Foundation team, responsible for raising critical funds to support the mission of Children's Specialized Hospital.

This role manages and grows a diverse portfolio of institutional partners including corporate, foundation, and community-based supporters, with the primary goal of securing and increasing philanthropic support.

The Development Manager is actively involved in all aspects of fundraising, including peer-to-peer campaigns, third party events, corporate sponsorships, and cause marketing programs,

The role also includes support of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, CMN, and partnerships as part of the broader institutional giving strategy.

The ideal candidate is a persuasive communicator, strategic relationship builder, and results-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative, mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Proficiency in CRM systems such as Raisers Edge is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Hybrid work model
  • Lifting up to 25 lbs during campaign preparation
  • Valid and good standing drivers license and access to a vehicle required

Preferred:

  • 3 to 5 years of nonprofit or fundraising experience
  • Experience with CMN, peer to peer fundraising, or community-based engagement preferred

Essential Job Functions:

  • Achieve annual fundraising goals by managing a portfolio of institutional donors, including corporations, foundations, and CMN partners
  • Support all institutional fundraising efforts, including corporate partnerships, sponsorships, cause marketing campaigns, and third party fundraising programs
  • Drive revenue through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of institutional donors and prospects using customized engagement strategies such as meetings, presentations, phone calls, and written outreach
  • Plan and execute major fundraising events and campaigns, including Walk n Roll, Golf Outings, Hudson Farm Sporting Clays, Pong, Third party campaigns and seasonal or emerging events
  • Represent the Foundation at fundraising events, check presentations, hospital tours, partner activations, and volunteer engagement opportunities
  • Work closely with internal teams and community stakeholders to elevate patient and Miracle Family stories that connect donors emotionally to the mission
  • Maintain accurate and up to date donor and campaign data in CRM systems e,g. Raisers Edge, Donor Drive, and generate reports to evaluate performance and inform strategy
  • Identify, qualify, and cultivate a pipeline of prospective institutional funders to support both short and long term revenue goals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new fundraising initiatives that broaden donor engagement and increase financial support
  • Participate in Foundation wide efforts and foster a collaborative, goal oriented culture that advances team and organizational success
