About the Role
Title: Database Manager
Location: Midtown Manhattan, New York, New York, United States (near Penn Station)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid — Remote
Mondays and Fridays; in-office Tuesdays through Thursdays
Employment Type: Full-time, Temporary-to-Permanent
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 35–40 hours per week Working Hours: Flexible start between 8:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.; departure between 4:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m.
Duration: Temporary through at least January, with potential for permanent employment Hourly Rate: $30–$35 USD

Do you have 3–5+ years of nonprofit database or development operations experience, with strong hands-on Raiser's Edge skills?
Are you experienced with gift processing, gift batching, donor records, and maintaining accurate fundraising data across multiple systems?
We are currently in search of a Database Operations Manager for a Community Services Nonprofit. The position is hybrid in Midtown Manhattan, conveniently located near Penn Station. This is a Full-time, temporary-to-permanent position supporting the organization through its gala and year-end giving season.

This role is ideal for an experienced nonprofit database professional who enjoys keeping fundraising data accurate, organized, and up to date. The Database Operations Manager will oversee gift processing, donor records, database cleanup, acknowledgements, reporting, and reconciliation while working across multiple fundraising platforms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable managing projects independently, and highly proficient in Raiser's Edge.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- 3–5+ years of nonprofit database, development operations, or fundraising systems experience
- Strong, hands-on Raiser's Edge experience required
- Experience with gift processing, gift batching, and gift coding
- Experience managing and maintaining donor records
- Experience uploading and managing acknowledgement letters in Raiser's Edge
- Strong experience pulling mailing lists, email lists, and other reports from Raiser's Edge
- Comfortable working across multiple platforms, including special events and fundraising systems
- Experience with database cleanup and data integrity projects
- Experience reconciling gifts and working with Finance
- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Database Manager-level experience strongly preferred
- Annual giving or development experience is a plus
How You Will Spend Your Day:
- Process, code, and batch gifts in Raiser's Edge
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records
- Perform database cleanup and data integrity projects
- Manage data from special events and other fundraising platforms into Raiser's Edge
- Upload and manage donor acknowledgement letters
- Pull mailing lists, email lists, and other reports from Raiser's Edge
- Partner with the Director of Finance on weekly or monthly gift reconciliation
- Ensure gifts and donor information are accurately recorded across multiple systems
- Support database operations related to the organization's gala and year-end giving
- Assist with annual giving and other development operations as needed
- Manage database-related projects, deadlines, and special assignments
- Provide accurate data and reporting to support fundraising efforts
- Help maintain consistent and reliable fundraising data across systems
