About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Data Visualization Specialist to join our team and help transform the way we build and deliver our applications.

As a Data Visualization Specialist, you will analyze and investigate data, generate dashboards and reports using Tableau, participate in web development and partner with business lines to ensure the data is consistent and accurate.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, development, validation of emerging and ongoing metrics, reports, analysis, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions using Tableau as your primary data visualization tool
• Design and develop intuitive dashboards and data visualization products using Tableau and any other business intelligence tools in future.
• Quick to learn new data visualization tools like Looker, Einstein Analytics etc. to analyze results, evaluate performance, and project future trends and needs.
• Champion processes and procedures across the organization
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements to ensure solutions meet business needs
• Explore, extract, cleanse and combine data from multiple sources and systems
• Continually improve data quality, build monitoring tools and issue alerts
• Collaborate cross-functionally to gather requirements, design and execute a solution end to end as well as investigate new technologies to improve data pipelines
• Lead dashboard demo sessions, develop training materials and produce dashboard documentation

• Data Engineering (data lake engineering experience, data pipeline development, Databricks workspace and data set management, data catalog/data governance, ETL engineering experience [PySpark, Spark SQL])
• Dashboard development (using Tableau and PowerBI)
• Workflow Automation (including use of Microsoft Power Automate)
• IT background including: DevOps, CICD & Infrastructure experience; AWS Cloud experience, including knowledge of: IAM, VPC networking, S3, EC2, Lambda, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail;  FedRAMP security and compliance experience including re: vulnerability management, and preferred; Azure concepts a bonus.
• Data Analytics (analyzing data sets for insights, including via PowerBI, Tableau, Excel)

• Customer Communication (Written and Verbal)
• Business Storytelling/Presentation Development and Delivery

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional work experience
• Extensive experience building visualizations and dashboards to help effectively tell a story behind the data
• Experience working on the UI using Javascript, HTML, CSS
• Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight or similar reporting tools
• Knowledge of information design principles and data visualization methods
• Robust portfolio outlining your work and previous projects
• Extensive problem solving experience and self-starter attitude
