Title: TEMP- Copyright Administration

Location: Nashville United States

Job Description:

Your Mission
We are seeking a Temp copyright team member to join our Administration team.Your primary mission is support a team of copyright professionals servicing BMG’s robust publishing catalog on a temporary basis from May to September 2026.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conduct regular registration reviews of songs relating to new agreements, releases, chart activity, and other business priorities
  • Address conflicts and submit update revision requests where necessary
  • Confirm BMG’s publisher claim to licensors, societies, and affiliates
  • Assist team in management of inbound adaptation/interpolation clearances
  • Assist team in Ad Hoc projects related to system data cleanup and work updates

What You Bring

  • You have a comprehensive understanding of music publishing rights and best practices particularly in CWR and USCO registration
  • You have experience licensing sound recordings and music videos
  • You have familiarity with current industry trends and initiatives (e.g., DDEX, MDX)
  • You are relationship and customer service oriented in your approach
  • Your time management skills allow you to meet deadlines easily
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to track and follow through on multiple concurrent projects to completion.
  • You prefer “Let me find out” to “I don’t know”

 

What Would Be A Plus

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Previous years or relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of Copyright Administration and or of the licensing operations at a large publisher, label, and/or licensing collective
  • You have a comprehensive understanding of music publishing rights and best practices particularly in CWR and USCO registration, and mechanical licensing practices
