Position Summary 

The Business Process Lead, Finance & Corporate Services owns the end-to-end design of our financial and administrative back-office processes — financial close and reporting, procurement, tax, supply chain operations, hardware fulfillment, human resources operations, and sales compensation administration. This scope is intentionally broad rather than a single linear process flow, spanning several distinct domains that share a finance and administrative reporting line rather than a common process sequence. The role is the connective tissue between Finance, HR, and Supply Chain leadership and the technology teams that build supporting systems. 

Importantly, this role owns the business capabilities in this scope — their definition, design, decomposition, and governance — in close partnership with the business teams that operate the underlying functions day to day. It does not own those functions themselves; success depends on heavy partnership with business and technology leads rather than on direct authority. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role: the person hired personally facilitates working sessions, maps processes, writes requirements, and stays engaged through delivery and adoption. It also sits within a newly created function whose standards and operating rhythm are still being defined. Deep specialist expertise in every domain within this scope is not expected; the ability to establish consistent standards, prioritize effectively, and drive improvement across genuinely different process areas is the core skill this role requires. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Own and continuously maintain a detailed (L2/L3) decomposition of Record to Report, Direct Tax and Tax Compliance, Procure to Pay, Supply Chain Operations, hardware fulfillment, Hire to Retire, and Sales Compensation Management capabilities, keeping documentation accurate as the operating model and systems landscape evolve, and using standards shared across the Business Process Lead team.


• Facilitate structured working sessions with Finance, HR, Procurement, and Supply Chain stakeholders to document how processes work today and design how they should work going forward, producing process maps, documented decisions, and requirements a technical team can act on without extensive follow-up.


• Translate future-state process designs into system requirements, partner with Product Owners and Engineering Leads through design, build, and testing, and confirm that what gets delivered reflects the intended process design.


• Support two parallel delivery tracks — current, in-production systems and the next-generation platform build — correctly identifying which track an incoming request belongs to, and ensuring lessons learned in day-to-day operations are reflected back into documentation and forward-looking design work.


• Own change management, enablement, and adoption for process changes in this value stream — stakeholder impact assessment, readiness planning, training materials, and post-launch verification that new processes are being used as intended — and define and report the process performance metrics that show whether they are working.


• Hold and maintain documented agreements at shared boundaries with peer Business Process Leads, so handoffs between value streams are explicitly agreed rather than assumed.


• Own the capability design for sales compensation from an approved sales quota forward — plan administration, crediting rules, attainment calculation, dispute resolution, commission expense accrual, and the payout handoff to payroll — partnering with the Sales Compensation and Payroll teams who execute it.


• Own the capability design for hardware fulfillment — provisioning, warehouse and inventory management, returns, and warranty — and for Hire to Retire, including onboarding, self-service, HR helpdesk, absence, and performance management, partnering with the Supply Chain, Fulfillment Operations, HR, and People Operations teams who run them.

Required Qualifications 

• Hands-on experience designing or improving month-end close and record-to-report processes in a multi-entity ERP environment.


• 5+ years of experience in business process design, business analysis, business architecture, or operations in a relevant domain.


• Demonstrated experience decomposing business capabilities into detailed, multi-level structures.


• Strong facilitation skills with cross-functional business stakeholders, including experience working at a Controller or Finance director level.


• Experience translating business process requirements into system requirements for a technical delivery team, along with strong documentation habits. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience with physical fulfillment and supply chain process design — warehouse, inventory, returns processing, and warranty management.


• Sales compensation process design experience, including plan administration, crediting, attainment, dispute resolution, and commission accounting.


• Procure-to-pay process design experience, including intake, approval routing, supplier onboarding, and three-way match controls.


• Direct tax process and statutory reporting experience in a multi-jurisdiction environment.


• HR operations process design experience, including onboarding, self-service, helpdesk operations, and performance cycle management.


• Treasury and cash management process design experience.


• Experience with Oracle (accounting, inventory, and accounts payable modules), NetSuite, Oracle EPM, close management tooling such as FloQast, and incentive compensation platforms such as CaptivateIQ.
