Here, we’re not just supporting a law firm; we’re partnering with attorneys and clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions in high-stakes litigation and dispute resolution, world-class regulatory compliance and advisory services, and complex transactions. Our commitment to integrity, ingenuity, agility, and ambition drives us, and we’re proud to have been recognised as the “Best Business Team” by The American Lawyer.
This is your opportunity to grow professionally in a dynamic, global environment, surrounded by forward-thinking peers.

The Billing Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Billing department, helping to facilitate timely and accurate billing processes. Working under the direction of billing team members and management, the Billing Assistant supports invoice preparation, billing edits, documentation, reporting, and other routine billing activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The Billing Assistant will work collaboratively with members of the Billing, eBilling, Collections, and broader Finance teams and will escalate matters requiring additional review or decision-making to the appropriate team member.

What You Will Do:

  • Assist with the preparation and editing of prebills and draft invoices based on instructions provided by billing team members.
  • Process routine billing edits and administrative adjustments, including narrative edits, time and cost transfers, and other approved changes.
  • Gather, organize, and maintain supporting documentation required for billing, including expense backup and other invoice-related materials.
  • Assist with preparing invoice packages and supporting documentation for client submission.
  • Maintain billing documentation and ensure relevant invoice support and records are appropriately organized and retained in firm systems.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain routine billing reports, spreadsheets, trackers, and other departmental reporting.
  • Assist with researching billing items and gathering information needed by billing team members to resolve outstanding requests or discrepancies.
  • Monitor designated Billing mailboxes, organize incoming requests, and route or escalate items to the appropriate team member for follow-up.
  • Assist with tracking outstanding billing requests, deadlines, and open items to support timely completion and follow-up.
  • Provide administrative support for routine eBilling activities, including gathering documentation, maintaining tracking information, and assisting with other assigned tasks.
  • Support month-end, fiscal year-end, and other high-volume billing periods, as well as departmental projects, process improvements, and data-cleanup initiatives.
  • Perform other billing-related administrative and operational duties as assigned.

 Who You Are:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree, college coursework, or additional education in accounting, finance, business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in an administrative, finance, billing, or professional-services environment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow established procedures, exercise sound judgment within the scope of the role, and appropriately escalate questions or issues.
  • Can work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across the Finance department.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use financial, billing, document-management, and workflow systems.
  • Prior administrative, accounting, finance, billing, or professional-services experience preferred.
  • Prior law firm experience is helpful but not required.
