We are seeking a SOLIDWORKS Application Engineer to join our technical team and support our French- and English-speaking clients. At GoEngineer, Application Engineers work at the forefront of innovation, helping manufacturers, designers, and engineers solve real-world problems using advanced CAD, simulation, and data management tools. You will contribute to customer success, product adoption, and the building of long-term relationships, while gaining in-depth technical expertise and significant industry visibility.
As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering compelling technical presentations, providing customer support, offering mentoring services, and creating online content. This customer-facing role requires exceptional communication skills and a strong ability to identify product solutions that address our customers' challenges. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SOLIDWORKS and competing solutions. You will support a wide range of customers across numerous industries in their use of SOLIDWORKS applications and related solutions. Your key responsibilities will include product presentations, training, customer support, mentoring services, and creating engaging content.
Key contributions:

Demonstrate the software's capabilities to prospects and clients in front of a live audience and/or via online meetings.

Support the sales team with your product knowledge, demonstrations, meeting agendas, strategies and correspondence.

Resolve customer issues related to SOLIDWORKS, installation, and complementary/additional products such as simulation tools and PDM (Product Data Management).

Collaborating with other technical colleagues to develop knowledge and share skills.

Research industry trends and competing technologies

Create web content (videos/tutorials) showcasing the features, capabilities, and trends of the software.

Obtaining and maintaining industry certifications (CSWP, CSWE, Elite and other product-specific exams)

Providing training courses to clients (in-person, customized and/or online)

Visiting clients at their premises to understand their design and manufacturing processes.
Workplace and hours

This is a full-time position, generally within standard office hours, although some client events may take place outside of standard working hours.

This is a hybrid role, requiring part of the time to be spent in our offices and some visits to clients. Remote work is possible in certain cases.
Requirements

Fluency in English and Canadian French (spoken and written)

SOLIDWORKS Expertise

Good knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, MS Office products, and associated hardware peripherals

Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent professional experience/qualifications
Other preferences

SOLIDWORKS CSWA, CSWP, CSWE certifications a plus

Experience in mechanical design or the manufacturing industry
