Compensation:

$30-$35/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to support a behavioral health technology company on a remote contract basis. This engineer will design, build, and enhance scalable backend services that support web and mobile healthcare applications.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Python, Flask, and PostgreSQL and is comfortable taking ownership of complex backend development projects. Responsibilities include developing REST APIs, optimizing database performance, integrating third-party services, improving automated testing, and supporting CI/CD and cloud deployment workflows.

This individual will work closely with product, design, QA, engineering, and clinical stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business needs and patient-care goals. The engineer should be able to ramp up quickly, work independently, contribute to architectural decisions, and deliver within a defined contract engagement.
