About This Opportunity

Join our team as an Appointment Scheduler, where you'll be the first point of contact for our patients and members. In this customer-facing role, you'll manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and ensure every caller receives exceptional service. Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and screen incoming telephone calls with professionalism and efficiency, taking accurate messages and providing helpful information to patients and members
  • Schedule appointments using our scheduling system while managing high call volumes and maintaining responsiveness
  • Direct callers to the appropriate department or staff member to ensure they receive the support they need
  • Complete intake information and verify patient eligibility to streamline the onboarding process
  • Gather and document patient information and concerns for assessment by appropriate healthcare providers
  • Respond to routine information requests while maintaining call answer times and service quality standards
  • Prepare correspondence and documentation as directed
  • Serve as a liaison between patients/members and providers, ensuring concerns are properly escalated and addressed

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)
  • Proven ability to manage high volumes of incoming calls while maintaining quality and accuracy
  • Excellent customer service skills with a patient-focused approach
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Proficiency with phone systems and scheduling software

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and eligibility processes
  • Additional language proficiency
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems

Work Schedule

Standard hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This hybrid position offers flexibility while maintaining our commitment to excellent patient service.
