Key Responsibilities:

  • Problem Solving & Debugging: Proactively diagnose and debug complex performance issues, implementing effective solutions to optimize application efficiency and reliability for Siemens' products and services.
  • Application Analysis & Maintenance: Apply strong expertise in database administration, database performance tuning, and application operations to maintain reliable, scalable, and sustainable solutions.
  • Monitoring & Telemetry: Utilize monitoring and telemetry tools to gather insights, track performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement.

Impact You'll Make:

By meticulously identifying and eliminating performance bottlenecks and team solution management, you will directly contribute to freeing up valuable computational resources. This optimization will not only enhance the user experience for our diverse customer base but also lead to significant savings in operational costs, reduce infrastructure strain, and accelerate development cycles, ultimately driving greater efficiency and innovation across the company.

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience diagnosing and optimizing performance in large-scale enterprise applications, including database administration, performance tuning, and automation of operational processes. Expertise in troubleshooting database performance issues, analyzing execution plans, optimizing queries and indexes, supporting replication and high-availability environments, and resolving production performance bottlenecks.

  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java and Python, with hands-on experience administering, tuning, and troubleshooting relational databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
  • Infrastructure Acumen: Solid understanding of infrastructure concepts and how applications and databases interact within distributed and enterprise-scale environments.
  • Analytical Prowess: Exceptional problem-solving and debugging skills with a systematic approach to performance optimization.
  • Application Performance Management (APM): Demonstrated experience with APM tools to detect performance and threading issues commonly used in large enterprises such as Datadog, Dynatrace, New Relic, or similar.
