About This Job

Axos is seeking a part-time self-starter who is willing to work in ambiguous detail, having the ability to dissect and analyze large amounts of unstructured information to discern high-risk transactions indicative of Money Laundering/Terrorist Financing program. If you are passionate about automation, AI, and data-driven problem-solving, this is the role for you!

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for new initiatives, enhancements, and system integrations
• Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track project progress
• Translate complex business requirements into clear technical specifications
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders
• Design and implement technological and workflow solutions to strengthen ETL pipelines
• Continuously improve processes across supported functions
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, root causes, and opportunities for optimization
• Work with structured and unstructured data, including transforming unstructured data into usable formats
• Participate and prepare with the guidance of the AML Officer for regulatory examinations and audits

Qualifications:

• A current STEM degree student or Bachelor's degree or 1+ years' data analytics
• Ability to bridge business and technical requirements
• Experience with data analysis and handling large datasets
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure offerings
• Experience structuring unstructured data
• A portfolio or link to web applications (e.g., Replit projects) preferred
• Proficiency in SQL or Python
