Position Description

Analyzes and coordinates office services such as personnel, budget preparation and control, fiscal affairs, equipment utilization, records control, and special management studies.

Major/Essential Functions

  • Review and approve travel reports for appropriateness and accuracy in an online application.
  • Process travel vouchers in compliance with operating policies and guidelines.
  • Provide customer service assisting department end-users with navigating the online expense management system.
  • Prioritize daily workload to meet department goals, service standards and records control for audit.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the Banner finance system processes, SciQuest e-Procurement system, and Emburse expense management platform.
  • Knowledge of Texas State Travel Management policies and procedures and Accounts Payable programs.
  • Knowledge utilizing the Online Travel System and administrative programs.
  • Bookkeeping and/or account reconciliation experience. Experience working in a similar role will be accepted as well.
  • Degree work or experience in Business, Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field.

Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
