Newmont APAC Operations are located in Western Australia, the Northern Territory, New South Wales and Papua New Guinea, with roles in operations, projects, corporate support and exploration. APAC Business Unit Support is provided from our offices in Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne.

About the Role
Are you a communications professional with a talent for visual storytelling and content creation? Do you enjoy turning real-world stories into compelling digital content? Newmont Corporation is seeking a creative and proactive Advisor, Communications to join our high-performing External Relations team in Australia.
This role is ideal for someone who loves capturing and crafting stories - particularly through video, photography and digital content - and who wants to help bring the people, projects and communities behind one of the world's leading gold companies to life. As Advisor, Communications, you will help deliver Newmont Australia's communications strategy by creating engaging content that enhances and protects our reputation among employees, communities and external stakeholders. You will play a key role in telling Newmont's story across multiple channels, with a strong focus on visual and digital storytelling.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating compelling video and visual content for social media, internal platforms and digital channels - from concept through to filming and editing.
- Producing high-quality design materials for digital platforms (videos, social media, website, intranet, newsletters) and traditional print (advertising, publications, posters).
- Developing engaging internal communications that connect employees with our strategy, people and culture.
- Supporting media announcements, presentations, newsletters and award submissions.
- Assisting with events, sponsorships, community engagement initiatives and editorial campaigns.
This role works closely with the Director, Communications APAC and partners across the business to deliver impactful communications that reach audiences both inside and outside the organisation.
What We're Looking For
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in media, public relations, communications or a related field.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in corporate communications and multimedia content creation (preferably in mining/resources or related industry).
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (including Premiere Pro and After Effects preferred) and Sharepoint; and experience in producing content for digital and social platforms, particularly videography and editing.
- Communication: Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling ability with strong attention to detail.
- Interpersonal: Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
