Starting Salary Range:  AJCR $1,262-$1,404 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: Johnson County Community College is looking for Adjunct Assistant Professor, Journalism to teach our survey course, JOUR 120 Mass Media and Society. This opportunity would be for both in-person and online teaching.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, or discipline related to field.
• OR Bachelor's degree with at least six years of journalism or mass media industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Journalism is preferred.
• Some college teaching experience is preferred.
• Experience using Canvas for teaching online is preferred.
