Account Receivable Assistant
Tokio Marine HCC is a great place to work, learn, and grow, with opportunities across all departments. Tokio Marine HCC—Cyber & Professional Lines Group is seeking a self-motivated Account Receivable Assistant to join our growing team.
Job Summary
At Tokio Marine HCC, the Account Receivable Assistant will support the Accounting Department by maintaining an up-to-date accounts receivable system with primary focus on cash application and processing of return premiums.
Key Responsibilities

Download daily bank details for ACH, Wire, and Lockbox payments into document management system.

Apply cash receipts daily in accounting system.

Track down support for unidentified cash receipts.

Follow up on short paid and overpaid items with brokers and underwriters (via phone or email).

Update document management system with all relevant correspondence.

Deposit checks received in the office via desktop deposit.

Assist with processing refunds of overpayments and return premiums.

Communicate with brokers and underwriters regarding billing and payment issues.

Provide back up support to other Accounts Receivable Assistants as needed.

Send Collections notices for paid premiums as needed.

Run and review various monthly reports such as Aging report, Daily Past due report, Unapplied cash payments.

Perform other administrative tasks as requested.
Education
-
2 Years Relevant and progressive professional experience in accounts receivables/general accounting, etc.
Other

Possess, and have the ability to apply, basic knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping principals.

Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Good written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.

Good organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (primarily Excel and Outlook).
