 Contract through August 21, 2026
 $47.50 - $50.75/hour

Alphanumeric is seeking an experienced Lead Accountant IV to support a high-impact Investment Controllership function within a large, complex financial organization. This role plays a critical part in US GAAP and Statutory accounting, reporting, controls, and automation across diverse investment portfolios.

What You'll Be Doing

You will support accounting and reporting for investment portfolios including:

• Fixed Maturity Securities
• Commercial Mortgage Loans
• Middle Market Loans
• Limited Partnerships
• CECL (Current Expected Credit Losses)

Key responsibilities include:

• Transaction processing and balance reconciliations
• US GAAP, SEC 10-K/Q, and Statutory reporting and disclosures
• Evaluating system outputs for proper accounting treatment
• Performing SOX controls for owned processes
• Researching accounting guidance and improving workflows
• Driving process improvements and automation opportunities
• Partnering across Finance and Investment teams
• Delivering analytical insights and solving complex accounting challenges

Job Requirements

 What We're Looking For

Required:

 Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
 5+ years of accounting or finance experience
 Strong reconciliation and reporting experience
 Excellent communication and collaboration skills
 Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
 Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines
 Proficiency in Excel and MS Office

Preferred:

 Oracle Financials, TM1, PAM experience
 Exposure to Alteryx workflows
 CPA or other accounting certifications
