This position is located in Manila. Team member must be able to fulfill Finastra in-office work policies, as well as be able to work 2nd shift or 3rd shift to align with USA work activities.

Your deliverables as a Software Engineer will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Participate in software design and planning sessions, collaborating with the Product team and other platforms to translate user needs into technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML/CSS, and Ruby on Rails.
  • Assist in deployments and integrations using Azure-based services.
  • Test, debug, and troubleshoot application issues, working with other engineers and cross-functional teammates to ensure timely resolution.
  • Follow the established software development lifecycle, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support product releases and address production issues.
  • Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Required Experience

  • Must be able to comply with Finastra In Office / Return to Office work policies.
  • Must be available to work 2nd shift / 3rd shift to align with USA digital development and support priorities.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience, including web application design and implementation.
  • Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML/CSS, and Ruby on Rails.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Azure-based services.
  • Financial industry experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to solve technical problems of moderate scope with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative, customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree
