A Lot About You
We’re looking for an experienced Style Editor to help lead our evergreen commerce coverage in the Style vertical. This editor will be responsible for planning, writing, and editing best-in-class evergreen commerce content — including best lists, single-product reviews, comparison pieces, and seasonal shopping guides — with the goal of growing traffic and affiliate revenue from search platforms. You must be comfortable identifying and utilizing expert resources, sourcing products, performing hands-on product testing and writing, editing and updating content across a broad range of style topics (including but not limited to clothing, shoes, accessories, and luggage).
This role requires sharp editorial judgment, strong knowledge of the style space (clothing, accessories, luggage, personal style, etc.), and a deep understanding of SEO and commerce content optimization. You’ll also have a deep well of industry contacts, and be passionate about crafting creative and engaging content that builds trust. You’ll work closely with SEO strategists, affiliate leads, and the broader editorial team to ensure our style content performs and delights. You’ll also work with freelancers, when appropriate, to assign and edit stories within specific style categories.
This role is either fully remote or can opt to work at one of our Yahoo offices across the U.S.
Responsibilities

Lead the strategy and production of evergreen style commerce content, including shopping guides, roundups, and reviews

Pitch, write, assign, and edit high-impact, search-driven stories based on keyword research and editorial instincts

Update and optimize existing evergreen articles based on performance data, SEO trends, and product lifecycles

Coach and manage freelance writers as needed to deliver high-quality, on-brand content that aligns with editorial voice and standards

Track performance and proactively identify opportunities to update or expand content

Collaborate with SEO and affiliate teams to shape data-informed content strategies

Stay on top of style trends, seasonal shopping moments, and emerging categories to keep coverage relevant and fresh

Source expert commentary, user reviews, and research to support product recommendations

Manage product sourcing and testing for style content

Assist with pitching and writing style content for tentpole events

Ensure all content meets Yahoo’s editorial, voice, and affiliate standards
Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience writing commerce content in style and fashion with a strong conversational style, with at least 2 years editing commerce or SEO-driven content

Proven expertise in SEO best practices and evergreen content optimization

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to coach writers and elevate voice

Experience working with affiliate programs and performance-driven content

Comfortable working with CMS platforms, Airtable (or similar tools), and performance analytics dashboards

A self-starter with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities

Experience at a major digital publisher is a plus

Experience collaborating with design, photo, or social teams a plus

A passion for commerce journalism and helping readers make informed buying decisions

Must be based in the United States

The compensation for this position ranges from $90,750.00 - $188,750.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
