Job Description:

Pay Grade: L- This is a grant funded position with a max starting salary of $66,000.00. We cannot guarantee what amount would be offered if an offer is made.

Workplace: Hybrid- 1 to 2 days per week in office located in Downtown Atlanta

Travel: 25% travel for programmatic site visits, trainings, meetings, and conferences

Job Summary:

This is a grant funded position with funding through September 29, 2027.

Manage overall implementation of the State Opioid Response Prevention Project. Supervise State Opioid Response staff. Supervise sub-recipient prevention services/programs through the monitoring of prevention contracting, goal and performance measure progress, contract deliverables, payments, reporting, and evaluations. Serve as liaison with Advisory Committee, SAMHSA, and community organizations. Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with community organizations addressing Opioid misuse and abuse. Ensure project activities are conducted in accordance with Federal and state regulations, policies and procedures. This position will also provide technical assistance to funded providers concerning aspects of prevention and will assist in the development of the community prevention infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications for Position:

Bachelor/Master's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment and a minimum of 3 years' experience. Preferably prevention certified or working towards certification. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Publisher, Power Point, etc.).

Supervisory Relationships:

Responsible for supervising the Opioid Prevention Specialists and SOR interns. This position is supervised by the OBHPFG Assistant Director.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

Project management experience, grant management experience, good organizational skills. Candidate would preferably the following skills: budgetary experience, experience developing and running a large multimedia campaign, experience working with numerous stakeholders, experience in conducting presentations, experience in managing multiple large, simultaneous ongoing projects, and experience conducting trainings and technical assistance.

Qualified candidates will possess excellent written and verbal communications skills; effective customer service skills; effective time management skills; the ability to prioritize tasks; the ability to conduct professional meetings with executive-level business contacts; a high level of ethical conduct; the ability to work well with others and independently when necessary; the ability to relate to staff, community representatives, and sub-recipients in a professional and friendly manner; the ability to adapt quickly to change.

Amount of Travel and Any Other Special Conditions or Requirements

Local travel plus travel to all required federal meetings. Ability to travel to communities located in all areas of the State with overnight stays.
