Job Description:
Hybrid Requirements: Employees within 40 miles of a physical office location must be present in office 2 days a week.
Office Location: San Diego, CA
Overview:
For over 14 years, 85SIXTY has been helping clients transform the way they reach, acquire and engage with their customers through an integrated combination of data, technology, cross-channel strategies, and creative thinking. Some might call us a full-service digital consultancy, but we like to think of ourselves as a partner that can both drive strategy and orchestrate delivery. Founded in 2010 by a veteran in retail, eCommerce, and digital, 85SIXTY was built around a consultative, high-touch approach that allows us to work across a broad spectrum of areas to increase our value to our customers. We are supporting today’s forward-thinking brands in their journey towards growth, whether that be financially, operationally and/or strategically. Solving whatever is thrown our way and translating it into simple solutions is at the core of 85SIXTY. We are looking for team members who fit that ethos.
We’re looking for a high-energy, San Diego-based content leader to spearhead influencer/creator campaigns and lead the charge in social-first content production for several clients. This is a hybrid role where employees must be present in our Del Mar office 2 days a week. The ideal candidate is equal parts creative producer and strategic thinker, with a passion for bringing social campaigns to life across short-form video, static imagery, and community-led content. The role will be dependent on needs of the current client roster, but will be a mix of overall strategy, content creation, influencer management, community management, and client interaction.
You will be responsible for shaping and executing Creator programs, creating best-in-class organic content (including vertical video), and driving measurable results for our clients, many of whom sit in lifestyle, hospitality, and outdoor recreation, including the ski industry. Bonus points if you’re familiar with TikTok Shop and have driven growth for existing accounts. This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned content leader who is passionate about the evolving social landscape and thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Production:
- Create ongoing short-form video for paid and organic distribution.
- Participate in client shoots and coordinate deliverables with the design/production team. Occasional domestic travel is required.
- Execute still photography and static design content as needed (with Canva or Adobe tools).
Influencer & Creator Campaigns:
- Develop and manage paid and organic influencer campaigns using influencer management software.
- Source, brief, and manage creators aligned with brand tone, campaign KPIs, and social platform best practices.
- Execute whitelisting, UGC licensing, and ambassador programs in coordination with the Paid Social team.
Strategic Social Leadership:
- Lead social strategy development, content calendars, and channel planning.
- Collaborate with paid media, creative, and client teams to build integrated content plans.
- Oversee day-to-day posting, content optimization, and community coordination.
- Occasional management and supervision of junior social/content staff, interns, or contractors.
Measurement & Insights:
- Define KPIs, track influencer content performance, and provide ongoing optimizations.
- Present reporting and insights directly to clients.
- Contribute to new business strategy, estimations and audits when required.
Desired Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of digital or social marketing experience, preferably agency-side (fast-paced, dynamic environment)
- Proven experience creating social-first content, and you’re comfortable appearing on camera
- Proactive leadership qualities that demonstrate ownership, curiosity, and accountability.
- Experienced in anticipating needs, driving ideas forward without waiting for direction, and consistently delivering high-quality work.
- Experience managing influencer programs from sourcing through reporting
- Strong hands-on production skills: vertical video, basic editing (CapCut, Premiere, etc.), Canva, Adobe Suite
- Strong creative brief writing capabilities
- Familiarity with TikTok Shop, UGC marketplaces, and social commerce trends is a major plus
- Interest or experience in ski/outdoor industry brands strongly preferred.
- Experience with social analytics, Google Suite, influencer tools (e.g., GRIN, Tagger, CreatorIQ)
- Confident presenting to clients and collaborating with cross-functional teams and shows a strong passion for social media.
- Strong project management background to oversee multiple concurrent content calendars, influencer campaigns, and deliverables.
- Ability to handle social crises, escalations, or negative feedback in partnership with clients and internal teams.
- Familiarity with scoping new projects and developing proposals or estimates as needed.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Medical, Dental, Vision
- Life/AD&D
- FSA - Health/Dependent Care
- Voluntary LIfe/AD&D
- Retirement Plan
- FTO - Flexible Time Off
- Paid Holidays Annually: 13
- Opportunities for professional development and growth.
- Collaborative and dynamic work environment.
- Contribution to impactful and innovative projects in the digital space.
