Description:

Our leading financial services client is looking to hire an emerging Software/Application Engineer to contribute to the development of robust software applications.

 

This role will require someone to work on site in Cincinnati, Ohio on a hybrid basis

 

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance. 

Rate: $40-50/ hr. w2


Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities

 

1. Software Development

Develop, test, and maintain applications using Java and Node.js.

Ensure code quality and maintainability through best practices and code reviews.

 

2. System Integration

Integrate various systems and applications to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.

Collaborate with IT and business teams to integrate modernization solutions into existing systems.

Familiarity with APIs and web services.

 

3. Performance Optimization

Optimize applications and systems for performance and cost-efficiency.

Continuously improve infrastructure to support growing business needs.


Experience Requirements:

•A passion for coding

•Proficiency in Java and Node.js skills

• Proficiency in Spring, Spring Boot

• Testing and debugging skills

• Database Management and SQL

• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and methodologies like Agile and SAFe

• Ability to create and maintain comprehensive software documentation

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• 1-2 years of experience in application development, software engineering or a related role is preferred 


Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science Computer Science/Software Engineering (optional)

 

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
