Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Job Summary: The Web Strategist I uses standard technical and web-centered digital marketing knowledge to manage or support college-level websites. Works under close supervision.

Additional Department Summary: The Web Strategist I is responsible for the creation and support of websites and related projects for the Barefield College of Arts & Sciences. The position is responsible for planning, organizing, creating, and maintaining text and photo content for websites and monitoring day-to-day quality of web content, including making daily updates to websites. Tasks will include writing, editing and proofreading; selecting and/or editing photos; scheduling photographers for events and other photo opportunities; managing student workers; and collaborating with faculty and staff to communicate with internal audiences via multiple media.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher and some web content management experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Creative Writing, English, Journalism, or related field. Two or more years’ experience writing website content, or equivalent. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
