About the role:

This position will play a crucial role in enhancing our team's capabilities by providing comprehensive support in the development and execution of library-related training and programs/activities. These initiatives are designed not only to upskill our staff members, enabling them to thrive in their roles, but also to ensure that we meet and exceed our contractual deliverables with our esteemed clients. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, this role will contribute significantly to the overall success and efficiency of our operations.

Develop and assess training resources, encompassing guides for the library system, while also crafting additional materials like manuals and engaging presentation slides.

Organize and conduct engaging training sessions for staff, focusing on onboarding procedures as well as continuous development programs that feature interactive workshops and tailored individual or group learning experiences.

Engage in train-the-trainer sessions when necessary. Work together with external partners as required for Library Programs and Activities. Assist in the planning and execution of reading and literacy programs designed for specific target audiences, whether at customer sites or online. Aid in the creation of reading programs.

Provide administrative support for the organization and implementation of all reading and literacy programs and activities.

What you need to succeed in this role:

  • Candidates must possess at least a minimum of a diploma from an accredited institution.
  • Certification from ACTA or ACLP is preferred.
  • Having demonstrated experience as a trainer would be beneficial.
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software
  • Familiar with digital, internet and social media online tools and platforms
  • Knowledge of library systems and exposure to eLearning tools an advantage
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively, and managing time efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities
