This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026

The Role

We are currently seeking a passionate and culturally responsive educator to lead our Future Pathways initiative which is a dynamic engagement program for Aboriginal students experiencing low attendance and challenges in literacy and numeracy. This role is ideal for someone who excels in building trust, designing creative and meaningful learning experiences, and making a genuine difference in the lives of young people.

The successful applicant will ideally possess high-level expertise in literacy and numeracy instruction, with familiarity in Direct Instruction programs considered an advantage. A flexible and integrated approach to planning is essential, enabling the development of a curriculum that is both relevant and connected to students' lives. A commitment to inclusive education and innovative practice is vital, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are highly desired, as well as the capacity to navigate challenges and work effectively within available resources.

Collaboration with the school leadership team is essential, as the unique nature of this role offers opportunities for professional growth and career advancement. Engaging with families and community partners is central to the success of the Future Pathways initiative. Using culturally responsive approaches, you will foster relationships that build belonging and co-design learning experiences that reflect students' identities and aspirations. The role also involves exploring alternative learning pathways by working with established partners and creating opportunities for families to actively participate in their children's education.
