The Strategic Proposal Manager - IDN & Health Systems is responsible for building and advancing the company’s capability to respond favorably to requests for proposals (RFPs) and customer requests for information (RFI). This allows Beckman Coulter to accelerate and improve its ability to win business and highlight its capabilities. You will work closely with the sales team and designated subject matter experts throughout the organization to successfully craft large multi-facility, multi-discipline RFPs. You will make a direct impact on winning complex healthcare deals. This role strategically partners with sales on large multi-site RFPs for Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) and Health Systems. In this key role, you'll leverage your critical and strategic thinking to analyze requirements, craft winning messaging, and improve our sales tools and process efficiency.

This position reports to the RFP Team Manager and is part of the Marketing team. This role will be fully remote.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead Strategic RFPs/RFIs: Drive the end-to-end RFP process for key multi-site accounts acting as a strategic partner to sales and other internal support teams (i.e.; Contracts, Deal Design, Marketing).
- Develop Compelling Content: Own technical responses for supported RFPs and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across the organization to create accurate, compelling, and customer-focused proposal responses.
- Manage & Innovate Content Database: Build and maintain RFP response database to ensure content is accurate and readily available. Work with the team to improve data quality, processes, and tools for additional efficiencies.
- Support Sales Partners: Provide training, answer questions, and offer support to sales teams preparing for and during active RFPs.
- Generate Sales/Marketing Tools: Develop valuable sales and marketing tools and collateral by synthesizing Voice of Sales and Voice of Customer feedback gathered during the proposal process.
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration & Improvement: Collaborate effectively within a matrixed organization to gather information, align strategies, and deliver integrated proposals on time. Apply Continuous Process Improvement principles to enhance the efficiency of Beckman Coulter's RFP process.
- Manage Complex Projects: Utilize strong project management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple large projects simultaneously, follow plans, and proactively communicate risks and countermeasures to meet tight deadlines.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor’s degree in field with 9-years of experience or Master’s degree in field with 7-years of experience, or Medical Technologist with 5+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information and apply critical and strategic thinking to solve problems effectively.
- High attention to detail and strong business acumen in Laboratory Diagnostics or Healthcare.
- High proficiency with digital collaboration tools and applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel).
Preferred:
- Specific knowledge of diagnostic instrumentation, laboratory operations, reagents, or Chemistry/Immunoassay testing.
- Sales and/or Marketing experience.
- Familiarity with Beckman Coulter Diagnostics products or systems.
- Proven experience leading proposal (RFP/RFI) development.

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $145,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
