Job Description:
The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) audit and compliance manager serves as DTMB's central point of contact for audits and is responsible for proactively cooridnating, monitoring, and providing oversight of internal and external audits and related activities for the department. This position leads the DTMB Audit Office and directs the work of the staff within the office. This position leads the department's internal control evaluation (ICE) efforts, which is a complex continuous process that is reported to the governor biennially and requires cooridnation with all functions and work areas within the department. This positon monitors and provides periodic reports on compliance with audit recommendations and coorective action plans identified during audits and biennial internal contral evaluations to ensure timely remediaiton. The position is also responsible for managing the department's risk profile and executing proactive strategies to mitigate department risks.

- The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.
Position Location/Remote Office: The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.
