Job Description: Senior Software Engineer (Java, Python, Cloud Native, Generative AI) - 8+ Years Experience from a Product Based IT Company
Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Java Engineer to join our engineering team. In this high-impact role, you will own the design and implementation of significant portions of our product development, specifically working with our Bots & Automation team to build a next-generation bot runtime platform.
You will serve as a technical leader and mentor for a small team of engineers, driving best practices in distributed systems and software architecture. If you have a passion for building reliable, scalable, and high-performance services and possess exceptional technical expertise, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership & System Design: Own the design and implementation of critical backend components. You will build high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Next-Gen Platform Development: Collaborate closely with the Bots & Automation team to architect and build a next-generation bot runtime platform.
- Distributed Systems Engineering: Create reliable, scalable, and high-performance services. Your work will require a deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems.
- API Design: Design and develop secure, scalable REST-based backend services.
- Mentorship: Serve as a leader and mentor to other engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Operational Excellence: Debug production issues, maintain existing codebases, and ensure the stability of the platform. You will participate in on-call rotations to support mission-critical services.
- Documentation & Compliance: Develop technical specifications, architecture documentation, and ensure all software complies with strict security standards.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithm Design
- Strong programming skills in Java with good knowledge of multi-threading.
- Expert-level knowledge of Databases (SQL, NoSQL) like Cassandra, MySQL
- Experience with Data Processing frameworks like Kafka, Airflow, Apache Spark, Hadoop
- Experience building REST APIs and debugging distributed microservice-based applications
- Experience in Kubernetes
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other Development tools
- Experience with NodeJS & Python is a plus
- Cloud expertise in either Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
