SUMMARY
The Senior STARLIMS Developer is responsible for the design, development, customization, and maintenance of STARLIMS v12 Life Sciences enterprise system and higher across the ACM. Development activities will include working with cross-functional groups to develop, document, engineer and assist in testing within Starlims to support ACM cross-functional operations that abides by all ACM expectations related to Computer System Validation, Change Management and Project Management. Additionally, this role will assist in the development of other staff to support Starlims development and configuration activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop, configure, and customize ACM’s STARLIMS v12+ systems to meet business and laboratory requirements.
- Assist in the design, development and testing of integration with 3rd party system as needed.
- Support Starlims and related integration incidents (Break/Fix).
- Support Starlims upgrades/patching to ensure functional compliance.
- Work collaboratively with business analysts, testers, and client end-users to understand system requirements and implement optimal solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other ACM staff/ consultants and client team members.
- Design and optimize STARLIMS workflows, reports, and dashboards to enhance system functionality, including the development of custom scripts, APIs, and integrations with other enterprise applications.
- Participate in data migration and validation efforts to ensure seamless transitions during STARLIMS upgrades and implementations.
- Utilize ticketing systems such as JIRA to track development progress, issues and enhancements while authoring and maintaining relevant technical documentation, including system architecture, configuration guides, and coding standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as GMP, GLP, CLIA, ISO, GxP compliance, and 21 CFR Part 11 by implementing secure and compliant solutions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with
- 5+ years of experience in STARLIMS development, including configuration, customization, and integration. Experience working in a laboratory is highly desired.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Team-oriented STARLIMS developer with deep technical expertise in STARLIMS v12+ across multiple verticals.
- Extensive experience with STARLIMS Scripting Language, HTML5, JavaScript and other related programming languages for system customization and enhancements, including a strong understanding of the STARLIMS Designer.
- Proficiency in STARLIMS Advanced Analytics, including dashboard creation and data visualization, experience with STARLIMS Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN) and a thorough understanding of Scientific Data Management System (SDMS) for data capture and analysis.
- Expertise in integrating STARLIMS with external systems using web services (REST/SOAP), APIs, and middleware.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle databases, including stored procedures, performance tuning, and data migration strategies.
- Experience developing data interfaces (HL7, API, XML, Json)
- Experience implementing STARLIMS security roles and permissions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Familiarity utilizing Agile and JIRA to support development and support activities
- Knowledge and work experience developing application within US and global compliance with regulatory standards (FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, MHRA, HIPAA, etc.).
- Ability to troubleshoot STARLIMS Application Server and IIS-based deployments to optimize system performance.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, .NET, SQL, and web services for developing STARLIMS extensions and integrations.
- Experience in designing and implementing STARLIMS Advanced Analytics, ELN, and SDMS a plus and familiarity with wire framing and prototyping tools such as Balsamiq.
- Experience working in a laboratory is highly desired.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
