Job Description:

ARETUM, a prominent government contracting firm known for its technology-enabled mission support services, is on the lookout for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Proposal Manager to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will lead the proposal management process, ensuring the development of compelling, compliant, and winning proposals for our government clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full proposal lifecycle, from the identification of RFP opportunities through to submission.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input and insights for proposal content and structure.
  • Oversee the drafting, editing, and finalization of all proposal materials to ensure clarity, responsiveness, and compliance.
  • Develop and implement a proposal strategy that leverages ARETUM's strengths and capabilities to maximize win potential.
  • Conduct reviews of proposal drafts and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Establish and maintain timelines, ensuring all deadlines are met throughout the proposal process.
  • Facilitate lessons learned sessions for continuous improvement of the proposal development process.
  • Build and maintain a repository of standard content, templates, and best practices for proposal development.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to enhance proposal quality and relevance.
  • Monitor proposal trends and new regulations to ensure compliance in submissions.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • BS (Preferred), in English, Journalism, Liberal Arts, or a related field, along with 10+ years of experience in proposal management.
  • Proven track record in managing government proposals, ideally with at least five years in a senior or leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal contracting processes and requirements.
  • Excellent skills in written and oral communication, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other proposal management software.
  • Experience with the Shipley proposal process or similar methodologies.
