We are the internal creative team for L'Oreal USA's American Brands of the Professional Products Division, including Redken, Matrix, Biolage, Pureology, Mizani, Pulp Riot and L'Oreal Technique.

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Creative Manager with a specific expertise in video-led advertising campaigns. This role will act as the video-focused creative lead, concepting and directing video-led advertising campaigns. The ideal candidate will have previous in-house or agency experience, be highly social media savvy, and possess a strong understanding of what makes content impactful, interesting and entertaining for a target audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creative ideation, conceptualization, and direction of best-in-class video-led advertising campaigns.
  • Develop the core conceptual thread-the "big idea"-that ties the overarching campaign together across key consumer touchpoints.
  • Create upper funnel awareness assets and ensure the concept continues across mid and lower funnel assets.
  • Pitch and present ideas through verbal and storyboard presentations.
  • Collaborate with the Brand Creative Director, Art Director, Video Editor, and Project Manager to bring campaigns to life.
  • Manage and partner with a Video Editor, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
  • Stay current with the latest trends in culture, beauty, and fashion to inform and inspire creative work.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in a creative advertising role, with a focus on video-led campaigns.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to generate compelling creative ideas.
  • Thorough understanding of every step of the campaign creation process - from pre-pro to production to post.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire creative talent including writers, producers, directors, editors and motion designers.
  • Proficiency in utilizing key references and swipes to effectively communicate campaign ideas.
  • A deep curiosity and interest in the latest cultural trends, particularly in beauty and fashion.
  • Ability to pitch and convince others of ideas through compelling presentations.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with different departments and stakeholders.

  • Resilience and the ability to handle feedback constructively.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and challenges during the production process.

  • Broad knowledge of pop culture and historically iconic video media moments to draw inspiration from.

  • A self-starter mentality, capable of taking a brief and running with it to bring your ideas to life.

  • Experience in the beauty, fashion and/or luxury space.

  • Strong narrative skills to craft compelling and emotionally engaging stories.

  • Work Environment:

  • Hybrid work model: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

  • Occasional travel required for on-location shoots.
