Job Description: Senior Front-End Developer with Focus on Technical SEO and CRO
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Senior Front-End Developer with at least 5 years of experience and a strong background in technical SEO and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) to join our innovative and fast-paced team. This role is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with renowned clients such as Consumer Cellular and F5. You will bring data-driven experiments to life, create exceptional user experiences, and optimize website performance for both search engines and end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, strategists, analysts, and clients, to define project requirements and best practices.
- Advocate for modern development standards, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance in all projects.
Front-End Development & Technical SEO:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain responsive, user-centric web interfaces using modern front-end frameworks and CMS platforms.
- Perform advanced site audits using SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Lighthouse, Screaming Frog) and recommend actionable improvements to improve website performance and rankings..
- Ensure all websites adhere to technical SEO best practices, including site architecture, structured data, mobile responsiveness, and optimized core web vitals.
- Implement web accessibility standards (WCAG) and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):
- Build and implement A/B tests and multivariate experiments on live websites using platforms like Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target, or Monetate.
- Collaborate with analysts, researchers, strategists, and UX designers to create and test data-driven user experiences.
- Consult with internal and external stakeholders to ensure experiments are well-engineered and aligned with business goals.
- Monitor and analyze test results with the analytics team to inform iterative improvements and client reporting.
Collaboration & Problem Solving:
- Work closely with designers, back-end developers, and clients to develop solutions that balance creativity, usability, and performance.
- Reverse-engineer websites to solve challenges and implement enhancements.
- Share knowledge and contribute to the development of internal processes and best practices.
Who We're Looking For:
We're looking for a Front-End Developer who thrives on solving problems, writing clean and scalable code, and creating seamless user experiences. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced agency environment, engaging with diverse teams and high-profile clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Front-End Developer.
- Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, ES6+ JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- In-depth knowledge of technical SEO principles, structured data, canonicalization, and crawl optimization.
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
- Hands-on experience with A/B testing platforms and CRO strategies (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target).
- Proficiency in CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Shopify) and headless CMS architectures.
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and familiarity with tools like Figma.
- Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques, including image compression, lazy loading, and minimizing critical rendering paths.
- Advanced skills in version control systems (e.g., Git) and web performance optimization techniques.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to experiment, forecast and measure impacts.
- Strong writing ability to document experiments, results, and create case studies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with modern frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js).
- Proficiency with CSS preprocessors (e.g., SASS, LESS).
- Familiarity with Node.js, Gulp/Webpack, AJAX, JSON, and cookies/local storage.
- Agency experience with client-facing responsibilities.
- Knowledge of image optimization and manipulation best practices.
- Knowledge of server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) frameworks.
- Strong client-facing skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly.
