Title: Regional Content Coach - Literacy - Upper Rio Grande Valley (25-26)

Job Description:
Role Mission: The Regional Content Coach – Literacy will work collaboratively with national and regional staff to design and deliver effective Literacy training, conduct classroom observations, and analyze data to identify areas of improvement. The Regional Literacy Coach will expand the knowledge, skills and toolkits of all campus leaders to ensure Literacy classrooms are optimum to engage all students in the learning.
Location: This is a full-time hybrid (remote/onsite) position based in the Upper RGV. Preference will be given to candidates who live in the region, or who are willing to relocate.
Travel Expectation: 1-2 times per year for team stepbacks or meetings.
What You’ll Do – Accountabilities
Essential Duties:
- Design and facilitate professional development sessions that support teachers and leaders in implementing evidence-based ELA practices.
- Collaborate with National Coaches and the Academic Services Team to develop and implement effective ELA instruction for students.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to teachers and leaders to ensure fidelity of implementation of ELA instruction.
- Conduct regular classroom observations to identify areas of strength and growth in ELA instruction.
- Collect and analyze ELA data to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
- Collaborate with campus and regional leadership to develop and implement ELA improvement plans based on data analysis.
- Communicate regularly with regional leaders about student progress and instructional initiatives.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest research and trends in ELA instruction.
What You Bring - Competencies
Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Valid teaching certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience.
- Experience as a ELA coach, instructional coach, or schools leader preferred.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based ELA practices and instructional strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate effective professional development sessions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong data analysis skills and experience working with data to inform instructional decisions.
- Knowledge of current ELA trends and research.
What We Offer:
Compensation & Benefits:
Salaries for people entering this role typically fall between $70,500 and $82,100, commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and in alignment with internal equity. This role is also eligible for performance pay based on organizational performance and goal attainment.
