Job Description:

Job Summary

The Kentucky Cancer Registry (KCR) is recruiting a QA Manager/Abstracting & Training. This position is responsible for managing and processing electronic data to include e-pathology, e-radiology, and e-molecular reports to ensure complete, timely, and high quality data. This position is an essential component of the management team of KCR that oversees statewide cancer case reporting from numerous sources of information. Sources include hospitals, private clinics, physician offices, pathology and molecular testing laboratories, radiation oncology facilities, state agencies, other state registries, and others. This position recruits and supervises a team of oncology data specialists who are responsible processing electronic data. This represents an exciting opportunity to play an important role in cancer reporting in Kentucky.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

  • Computer use, spreadsheets, data management applications, Microsoft Office, EPIC, Excel
  • Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? Yes Preferred Education/Experience
  • BA and 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination of the two along with an ODS - Oncology Data Specialist (formerly CTR - Certified Tumor Registrar) Certification preferred.
