As the Product and Repository Manager for Field Sales Learning & Development at Capital One in Business Cards & Payments, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects in support of the Field Organization. You will work to ensure maintenance of our centralized repository of all training content and collateral. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company’s bottom line. You will take on important and exciting responsibility from day one, working with key stakeholders across the company to ensure that the Learning and Development team are meeting the expectations and goals for the product and repository vertical. Responsibilities:
-
Include, empower and inspire the team through strong people leadership
-
Collaborates with partners and key stakeholders to design and implement training strategies and programs that will proactively improve the effectiveness of the sales teams, processes and customer interactions.

Responsible for Product training and managing content repository for all materials available to the sales teams

Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project delivers on intent
-
Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project/training delivery

Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments

Design and develop course curriculum, programs to address performance gaps. Gains feedback and approval for programs aligned to learning strategies

Partners with the team to determine the most effective training methodologies, mediums and timing to use for various audiences.

Manage project timelines, content development, training delivery and facilitation within the team

Conduct on-site facilitation and/or delivery of training programs as an educator, train-the-trainer or event facilitator. Delivers training through classroom sessions, workshops, or individual coaching and/or in conjunction with SME's (subject matter experts) or other business resources, as needed

Measures and reports on the effectiveness of sales training programs. Continuously seeks feedback, ideas and suggestions to improve training effectiveness, training policies and new training initiatives.

Ownership for training content and knowledge management

Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership style

Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes

Travel as needed (up to 20% at times) to other company locations for meeting and training purposes

Basic Qualifications:

At least 5 years of experience in Learning and Development or at least 5 years of experience working on product design initiatives
-
At least 4 years of project management experience
-
At least 3 years of people leadership experience or at least 3 years peer coaching experience
-
At least 2 years of experience in supporting sales teams or at least 2 years of experience in customer facing roles at a financial institution
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Master's Degree or MBA
-
10 years of experience in Financial Services
-
5 years of people management experience
-
5 years of experience supporting a sales team

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
